Huawei formalizes the Y6 Pro (2019)

In the Philippines, Huawei has chosen to introduce a new entry-level smartphone. This is the Y6 Pro (2019, a light version of the Y7 Pro (2019) that the Chinese firm released in Vietnam a month and a half ago.

We think that the Chinese company was too busy preparing for the arrival of the P30 and P30 Pro, which will be presented in Paris in a few weeks. It could also have been possible for Huawei to finish the press conference that the brand will hold at the Mobile World Congress to present its 5G smartphone with a folding screen (Richard Yu confirmed the presence of the mobile phone in person). Where to find the time in your conditions to announce a new mobile?

Huawei Y6 Pro (2019)
Ugh, the monthly rhythm is respected!

At the moment, Huawei always finds a little, even at the time of the main deadlines, such as Samsung's Unpacked conference, the Mobile World Congress or the launch conference of the P30. Huawei today formalized its "smartphone of the month of February", a few weeks after the Y7 Pro (2019) and the Y7 Prime (2019) in January. The newcomer is called Y6 Pro (2019). And it is in the Philippines where Huawei chose to reveal it.

Of course, there is a familiar aspect between the Y6 Pro (2019) and the mobiles presented in January. We found a 19.5 / 9e screen with a U-shaped notch for the webcam. We also find the wide border that underlines this screen and that houses the tag's label. And as you will see, we also find some similar technical elements with the Y7 Pro (2019) of which is the "lite" version (less sharp equipment and smaller screen).

In detail, the Y6 Pro (2019) is equipped with a 6.09-inch screen, whose definition is HD + and the resolution of 282 pixels per inch. The slab is IPS. Inside, Huawei chose not to go to HiSilicon or Qualcomm to equip this entry-level model, but to MediaTek. The chipset is a Helio A22, a low-cost quad-core whose Cortex-A53 cores are synchronized at 2 GHz. It comes with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of expandable internal storage, such as the Y7 Pro (2019).

Small in size, the Y6 Pro (2019) has a slightly less bulky battery. Its capacity is 3020 mAh. It does not support fast charging. Photo side, without dual sensor like the Y7 Pro (2019), but a simple sensor. This is a 13 megapixel model with autofocus phase detection, lens opener in f / 1.8 and LED flash. On the front, the webcam is also checked down, from 16 megapixels to 8 megapixels. An LED flash more or less overcomes the incompatibility with the HDR mode.

Less than $ 120

The general equipment for smart phones is classic and includes the LTE category 6 connection and a 3.5 mm connector for FM radio. There is no fingerprint reader. The phone comes in two colors: blue and black. It will be on sale from February 23. Its price will be 6990 Philippine pesos, about 119 dollars.
