With a high degree of integration, Balong 5000 supports 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G technologies on a single chip. It effectively reduces power consumption when exchanging data between different modes, and will dramatically improve the user experience in the early stages of the commercial deployment of 5G. Balong 5000 is the first chipset to comply with industry standards for maximum download speeds of 5G. At a frequency below 6 GHz, Balong 5000 can achieve download speeds of up to 4.6 Gbps. On the mmWave spectrum, Balong 5000 can reach download speeds of up to 6.5 Gbps, 10 times faster than the best 4G LTE speeds currently available on the market.

Balong 5000 is also the world's first chipset supporting autonomous (SA) and non-autonomous (NSA) network architectures for 5G. Powered by Balong 5000, the Huawei 5G CPE Pro supports 4G and 5G wireless connections. On a 5G network, a 1GB HD video clip can be downloaded in less than three seconds and an 8K video can be streamed smoothly and without lag. This sets a new benchmark for home-based CPE. Besides the Huawei 5G CPE Pro can also be used by small and medium businesses for ultra-fast broadband access.

Adopting the new Wi-Fi 6 technology, the Huawei 5G CPE Pro offers speeds of up to 4.8 Gbps. This is the first 5G CPE that supports HUAWEI HiLink protocols, enabling smart homes to enter the 5G era.
